General Radiology
X-ray examinations ordered by your primary physician may include:
- Chest x-rays
- X-rays of the feet, hands, knees, hips and pelvis and other extremities
- X-rays of the Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar spine
- Intravenous pyelogram (IVP), an x-ray exam that provides a detailed view of the kidney and lower urinary tract
- Other routine examinations, as requested by the referring physician.
All x-rays are digital and equipped with the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). This system revolutionizes the way images are managed, stored, communicated and reported. The benefits of this system are:
- Quicker access to patients’ radiology images and reports
- Instant access to online radiology images
- Images accessible to physicians from home or office
- Access to patient reports - preliminary and final – as soon as transcribed
- More accurate diagnoses and treatment.
